Cassandra and Emmett - 6 Month Milestone Session in Edmonton, Alberta

I did Cassandra's Maternity and Newborn session in Edmonton and then captured this sweet little session of her and Emmett at six months old. He was such a happy little camper for the entire session which I think had a lot to do with his Mother's calm and loving energy. This was my first session using a canvas backdrop which I actually hand painted myself and I was so pleased with the light and soft feel of the images. It was a very cold and snowy week in Edmonton and I think we were all patiently awaiting some warmer weather, so I decided to add in some fresh Tulips to evoke a feeling of Spring and New beginnings.


6 months is such a sweet age to photograph - the smiles, their little personalities really starting to shine through, their proud expressions when they roll and their little scoots or crawls across the floor. Parents are welcome in Milestone sessions and the client closet is included as well - so no worrying about what you or baby will wear - you just show up and love on your little one while I worry about the rest.
