Choosing your Photography Products after your Photoshoot

Sometimes it can feel a little daunting deciding what to do with your photographs and choosing your products after your photoshoot. You know how important it is to get these memories off of your computer and printed so you can enjoy them, but there are so many small decisions to make before that can happen.

Which photography products are right for me and my home?

Is an album the best choice? Where do I order it from? Do I want a few framed prints for my walls? Do I want them matted, and if so what size of matting? Do I want loose prints to frame myself or gift to family?

Then what type of prints do I want? Semi gloss, matte, fine art, bordered or deckled edges?

The Design and Ordering Appointment

I have been busy the past few months fine tuning my client experience and will now be offering design and ordering appointments after your session so that I can help you with these decisions so you aren't having to make them on your own. I will take all of the guess work out of it - no need to measure out your walls to figure out sizing, no need to worry what your frames or matting will look like with your photographs. Some clients love a big impact piece in the middle of their wall, while others love arrangements with multiple smaller pieces that tell a story, but how can you know before even seeing it in your space?

At your design appointment you will sit down with a cup of tea, and I will make these choices as easy as possible for you. You will be able to see and feel the different print types before hand. I will show you exactly what your photos will look like in different arrangements right on your walls so you can see what you enjoy the most. The arrangements will be calibrated to your wall size so there is no need to worry about measuring things out, I will just have you snap a few quick photos and send them to me before your session.

We will go through frame samples - the custom framer that I work with has something for every decor style. You will be able to hold them in your hands and see the quality and exact colour, so you can be 100% confident in your decisions before any orders are placed, and you will know these products are high quality and have been vetted by me.

If albums are more your cup of tea - the process could not be easier. I will have predesigned an album with your photographs (which - trust me, album design can be quite time consuming and will be the last thing on your mind when you're getting into the routine of new parenthood.) My albums are premium, lay flat heirloom quality albums that are crafted with the highest quality materials and are meant to be passed down to your children. You will just choose the cover material, approve or make any small changes to the layout, and the order will be placed.

I know how busy the early days are with little ones, and when starting this business I knew I wanted to create an experience that is as easy as possible, and makes Moms feel taken care of. The mental load of Motherhood can be alot - there is always something to check off the to do list. Every part of your photography experience should be easy and enjoyable, and I will be here from the initial session planning, to helping you style your family with my client closet, right until your beautiful heirloom quality products are in your hands.

If you are from the Edmonton area and have a little one coming soon, or you are interested in updating your family photographs, send me a message. I would love to meet you and start planning your photoshoot and help you find the perfect photography products to display your memories.
