Three week old Jules's Newborn Photography Session in Spruce Grove
I photographed Jules's Newborn Photography Session in Spruce Grove a few weeks ago, this was my second time capturing this lovely family. Jules's Mom is a Doula and Photographer and it always feels like such a treat being asked to photograph other Photographers families!
When I arrived at their home, Jules's 2 year old older Brother Mason was there to greet me at the door and I felt like we were instant best friends! The last time I had seen him he was under a year old and I just loved getting to see how he had grown and the friendly little personality he had developed.
There was no shortage of smiles from this little guy! After capturing a few photos of Dad, Mason and Baby, we moved on to photos of Mom and her three boys. As a boy Mom myself, sessions with little boys always feel familiar to me. They are always on the move and love a little extra silliness! There were a lot of snacks, snuggles, smelling and tickling baby involved in this session to get them to stay in the same spot long enough for me to get some beautiful images of the four of them together. =)
Jules was having a cluster feeding day and his Mama wanted to capture some skin on skin and breastfeeding portraits, so after the older boys photos were finished they were free to have some lunch while Mom and I continued on.
The two of them had such a beautiful connection and he was totally content as long as he was in her arms. After a good feed he had a quick catnap, so we took advantage and finished off the session with some images of him in one of my props that Mom had chosen - because who doesn't love a Newborn baby in a basket!?
Gear used for this session: Sony A7iii, 50 mm 1.8 lens, 50mm Macro lens & 35mm 1.8
